University of Georgia Statistics major, Rachel A. Zilinskas, has been selected for the 2017 CURO Summer Fellowship. Rachel has loved Statistics ever since she took her first Stat class in High School. She is currently working with Dr.

Dr. Pengsheng Ji Published a Discussion Paper on Statistician Coauthorship and Citation Networks in the Annals of Applied Statistics.

Statistics student, Jordan Eckert, has been awarded the Curo Research Assistantship. This award includes a one-semester stipend of $1000 to conduct faculty-mentored research under the guidance of Dr. Megan Lutz.

Two Statistics students have been asked to join Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest of all American honor societies. It is one of the most distinguished honors in academic circles to be invited to join the society. This year’s invitees include Andrew Goodman and Daniel Oltmann.

The Grimes Fellowship provides academic year support to a graduate student in Franklin College majoring in the Natural Sciences working on the area of cancer research. The winner must be in good academic standing, have innovative ideas, and strong work ethic and a creative mind.
