The Department of Statistics is proud to announce that the UGA and the Board of Regents recently approved that Dr. Wenxuan Zhong will be named as the UGA Athletic Association Professor in Statistics.
Statistics major Paige Taylor is a recipient of the CURO Research Award for the Spring 2024 semester. Under the guidance of Drs. Abhyuday Mandal and Aditya Mishra, Paige will utilize machine learning algorithms to create epidemic models and forecast epidemic trends.
