Image: The Department of Statistics' International Potluck Dinner was held recently! This annual event is sponsored and organized by the Stat Club. It offers a great opportunity for students, faculty, and their families to get together to share food, culture, and fellowship. This year, 15-20 participants took part, contributing some delicious food from all over the world. Highlights included Laura Mathews Quinoa Salad, Aditya Mishra's Aaloo Payatha (Stuffed Potato Bread), Jihyun Kim's Korean Braised Beef Ribs, and Xiaotian Wang's Chinese/Korean Rice Cakes. The food was really delicious and everyone had a great time! It is a tradition to add a competitive element to the International Potluck. So, prizes were given to the contributors of the two favorite dishes. When the votes were tallied, Kyle Fuentes-Keuthan's Cuban Guava Pastries took top honors, with Vishal Routh's Indian Spicy Chicken coming in close behind in second place. Thanks to the Stat Club for keeping up this fun department tradition! Type of News/Audience: Departmental
