Jordan Eckert is Awarded CURO Research Assistantship

Statistics student, Jordan Eckert, has been awarded the Curo Research Assistantship. This award includes a one-semester stipend of $1000 to conduct faculty-mentored research under the guidance of Dr. Megan Lutz.

Jordan Eckert is a statistics major here at the University of Georgia. After graduating in May, he plans on going to graduate school and eventually earning his PhD. After which he wants to become a professor and continue doing research in the statistics field. His research interest are multivariate analysis, linear modeling, sports statistics, and spatial statistics. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and also works on campus as a student consultant for EITS. His directed self study will be focused over multinomial logit and probit modeling for predictive outcomes.

Jordan will be presenting his research in the Spring 2017 CURO Symposium to be held on April 3-4.
