Assistant Professor Education Ph.D. in Statistical Science, University of California, Santa Cruz, 2022. Research Research Interests: My research interests are in developing statistical and machine learning methods for inference and prediction from complex, dependent data, with a focus on probabilistic generative modeling and hierarchical modeling in spatial and spatio-temporal settings. Methods development is strongly motivated by addressing real-world problems, particularly in ecological and environmental applications, among others. For example, my research involves developing methods for understanding and predicting Antarctic biodiversity with uncertainty quantification, as part of the Australian Research Council Special Research Initiative, Securing Antarctica's Environmental Future (SAEF). More details (e.g., publications and software) can be found on my personal website.
